INZONE

REPORT Method

This method defines the measured points that are used to calculate a circle defining the LERAD and TERAD calculations. A circle is created with the center at the chord point (nose or tail point). The radius of that circle is the NOMINAL radius (of the LE or TE) multiplied by LEZONE or TEZONE (described below). The points that lie in this circle are used.

You can specify a multiplier to use for the selection of points in the Tolerance file. There are separate multipliers for both the LE and the TE. The new parameters are called LEZONE and TEZONE. The default for each value is 1.0. If you use the default value, you do not see it in the Tolerance file. So, if you type in 1.0 and do not see it later, do not be alarmed.

You can set them for the entire blade or do it section by section, similar to other parameters (and tolerances).

Example of a line in the Tolerance file:

LEZONE 2.000000
