The EYE-D add-on uses a camera to detect your part on the CMM table. This topic discusses what happens when you execute a measurement routine with that add-on.
The EYE-D works only with PC-DMIS measurement routines.
With the EYE-D add-on, Inspect does the following:
It takes an image with the USB 3.0 camera that is mounted on the CMM.
It processes the image to recognize the part and the routine that is associated with the part.
It creates an external alignment, which the routine uses to locate the part.
It executes the routine.
To execute a routine with the EYE-D add-on, follow the instructions in these topics:
Configure the EYE-D add-on. See "Configuring the EYE-D Add-on".
Teach the routine to detect a part's image. See "Teaching a Routine to Detect a Part's Image".
Execute the routine. See "Executing a Routine with One Part on the CMM" or "Executing a Routine with Multiple Parts on the CMM".
