Alignment Example

Use the Graphical Hit Selection method to select feature and scan hits as inputs when you create an alignment.

You cannot use feature or scan hits as inputs for Best Fit and Iterative alignments.

To select feature or scan hits with the Graphical Hit Selection method:

  1. Create the feature or scan hits.

  2. Click New Alignment from the Alignments toolbar (View | Toolbars | Alignment) or from the menu (Insert | Alignment | New). PC-DMIS displays the Alignment Utilities dialog box.

  1. Select the items to use as inputs from the Feature List in the dialog box or select them from the Graphic Display window. For details, see "Graphical Hit Selection Method".

  2. After you select all the items, click Create. The software displays the new alignment in the measurement routine.
