PC-DMIS allows you to type a reference distance in the Distance box in the Perpendicularity dialog box (Insert | Dimension | Perpendicularity). This option is useful when the feature not only needs to be perpendicular to the datum feature, but needs to be calculated a certain distance away from the datum as well.
