You can import CAD models of various formats and use them to create measurement routines. The Vision demo part named HexagonDemoPart.igs is used for examples throughout this documentation where CAD data is used. To import this demo part:
Select the File | Import | IGES menu option.
From the Open dialog box, locate and select the HexagonDemoPart.igs file, and click Import. This file is normally located in the PC-DMIS install directory.
When the IGES File dialog box opens, click Process to process the demo file. Then click OK to finish the import process. The CAD demo part is displayed in the CAD View.
