You can import geometry information from a Wavefront object (.obj) file into the Graphic Display window. The .obj file is an open 3D model format that many 3D graphics applications use.
To import a Wavefront .obj file:
Open the measurement routine in PC-DMIS into which you are going to import the .obj file.
Select the File | Import | Wavefront menu option to show an Import dialog box.
If you run PC-DMIS as a standard user, you can also drag and drop one or more supported file types into the Graphic Display window to start the import process.
Use the Import dialog box and navigate to the folder that contains the file to import. Then select the file.
Click the Import button to import the model into the Graphic Display window.
