The first thing you should do when troubleshooting the Creo DCI is to run PC-DMIS with the "/proedebug" command-line flag. This makes diagnostic messages appear.
To do this:
In Windows, right-click on the shortcut that launches PC-DMIS.
Click on Properties to open the Properties dialog box.
Click the Shortcut tab.
In the Target box, append to the existing string this flag: /proedebug
Use PC-DMIS as usual.
Problem
When importing a DCI measurement routine file on a computer that doesn't have a Creo license, it takes a very long time before giving a timeout message.
Possible Causes
Is the Load
registry entry set to TRUE?
You can find this entry in the Creo section
of the PC-DMIS Settings Editor. You should set this entry to FALSE
if you do not have a Creo license on the computer that runs the measurement
routine.
