Troubleshooting Creo DCI Errors

The first thing you should do when troubleshooting the Creo DCI is to run PC-DMIS with the "/proedebug" command-line flag. This makes diagnostic messages appear.

To do this:

  1. In Windows, right-click on the shortcut that launches PC-DMIS.

  2. Click on Properties to open the Properties dialog box.

  3. Click the Shortcut tab.

  4. In the Target box, append to the existing string this flag: /proedebug

  5. Use PC-DMIS as usual.

Problem

When importing a DCI measurement routine file on a computer that doesn't have a Creo license, it takes a very long time before giving a timeout message.
