Before you install PC-DMIS, configure your portlock or LMS license for the HP-C-Ve interface. When you have the correct PC-DMIS license configured for the HP-C-Ve interface, it ensures the correct files and registry entries are set up when you install PC-DMIS.
The HP-C-Ve interface requires these license options:
Vision enabled
CMM-V DCC Vision type
Leitz/FDC interface enabled
If done correctly, the PC-DMIS installation renames the following files:
HSI_CMMV.dll to HSI.dll
leitz.dll or FDC.dll to interfachelper.dll
HexMSI.dll to interfac.dll
The PC-DMIS installation assumes that the Frame Grabber has already been successfully installed. Frame Grabber installation details are beyond the scope of this document.
For example, to configure the files for a CMM-V system, do the following:
Make a copy of the HexMSI.dll file. You can find this file in the root of the PC-DMIS installation folder. The default folder location is "C:/Program Files/Hexagon/<version>", where <version> is the version of PC-DMIS.
Rename the original HexMSI.dll file to interfac.dll.
Make a copy of the HSI_CMMV.dll file found in the same folder location.
Rename the original HSI_CMMV.dll file to HSI.dll.
Make a copy of the FDC.dll file found in the same folder location.
Rename the original FDC.dll file to interfachelper.dll.
You must then configure the interface in the Machine Options dialog box (Edit | Preferences | Machine Interface Setup):
