For some of the Leitz probe changer types, the first slot could be placed anywhere on the rack as desired, but subsequent slots had to be placed at specific distances along the rack relative to that first slot. In particular, the distance from the first slot to any other slot had to be an integer number of centimeters.
This registry entry determines whether or not you are allowed to position slots anywhere within the physical design of the rack and slot.
Entry Name: AllowArbitraryLeitzGaragePlacement
Entry Type: True/False value.
If set to TRUE, you can position slots anywhere physically allowed by the rack and slot design. In some cases, this may result in a small amount of additional motion during the probe change.
If set to FALSE, you need to place the second and all subsequent slots at specified distances. You may avoid additional motion if you take the time to carefully position the slots according to the spacing requirements.
