Focus Laser Sensor (FLS) is a sensor for Vision machines in which a laser beam works through a lens (this assumes a camera sensor and implies that the laser beam is visible in the PC-DMIS Live view). The inherent advantage is that you can use the laser as a pointer for rapid locating of features on the part.
Entry Name: FLSPresent
Entry Type: Valid values are True and False: True enables FDC to handle the FLS; the default value of False prevents the FLS command from being passed on to the FDC.
In order to use FLS with FDC, the following settings are necessary:
(FDC) FLSPresent = True
(MSI) Laser_Type = 1
