This option allows you to use the alternate IGES translator. This is useful for some IGES files that do not import CAD elements as expected. When this registry entry is set to True, then the alternate translator is used to import IGES files. In versions 4.0 and newer, there is a separate menu option named IGES (Alternate) to import IGES files using this alternate IGES translator.
