This registry entry determines whether or not scanning strategies are used for DCC features created during a QuickAlign operation.
Entry Name: UseScanningStrategiesForQuickAlign
Entry Type: Boolean value of True or False. The default value is True. True means that PC-DMIS first uses the scanning strategy in the .ipd file, but if the strategy for that feature type is later modified in the Auto Feature dialog box, then that strategy is used instead. False means that no scanning strategy is used at all. In that case, PC-DMIS uses the default touch-trigger strategy for the DCC features.
