This registry entry determines whether you are using the Default or User Defined calibration mode.
When this value is set to 0 (Default), PC-DMIS takes the number of indicated hits around the spherical tool at either 10 or 15 degrees from the equator, plus one additional hit normal to the probe, 90 degrees from the equator.
When this value is set to 1 (User Defined), PC-DMIS measures the probe based on the number of levels (ProbeQualNumLevels) that are entered and the starting (ProbeQualStartAngle) and ending (ProbeQualEndAngle) angles that are provided. The location of the level is based on the angles that are set. 0° is located at the equator of the probe. 90° is normal to the probe. Only one hit will be taken when measuring normal to the probe.
