This registry entry determines if PC-DMIS uses the legacy probe compensation algorithm. This applies to scan commands that enable probe compensation. The algorithm changes the hit vectors.
By default, PC-DMIS uses the newer algorithm.
The registry entry on the machine that scans the feature determines the algorithm to use.
Suppose you have an offline seat with this registry entry set to FALSE. If you then execute it on an online machine set to TRUE, it uses the new algorithm. Also, PC-DMIS calls the algorithm only once, right after the online execution finishes.
Entry Name: UseLegacyProbeCompensationAlgorithm
Entry Type: Boolean value of TRUE or FALSE. The default value is FALSE (the newer algorithm).
