This documentation is divided into numerous main chapters and some supplemental appendices. To give you an idea of the documentation layout, the following list provides a brief description of each chapter.

"PC-DMIS: An Overview" - This is the current chapter you are reading. It gives a brief overview of PC-DMIS and the contents of the PC-DMIS documentation.
"Navigating the User Interface" - This chapter describes the PC-DMIS user interface and how to customize it to suit your needs.
"Using Basic File Options" - This chapter discusses the basic file operations that you can use to start a new measurement routine, save it, and exit PC-DMIS, and so on.
"Using Advanced File Options" - This chapter discusses the more advanced file operations such as how to import and export CAD files and execute your measurement routine.
"Setting Your Preferences" - This chapter describes the setup options and measurement routine parameters.
"Editing the CAD Display" - This chapter describes how to use the Graphic Display window to edit the display of your CAD file.
"Editing a Measurement Routine" - This chapter describes the Edit window and how to edit your measurement routine.
