This table details some basic PC-DMIS functions you can control with the Zeiss jog box:

If MappedJogKeys = True, then the following defaults are used:
END - This function performs a Done button execution. This also performs the Yes or OK execution if the top-most dialog box has those buttons.
ERASE - This function performs an Erase Last Hit command.
DCC_INSERT_MOVE - This function inserts a Clearance Move command.
EXECUTE_STOP - This function stops execution. The Done button toggles between Stop and Continue so this is not needed.
EXECUTE_CONTINUE - This function continues execution. The Done button toggles between Stop and Continue so this is not needed.
ID_UTIL_KEEP_DIM - This is a rarely-used option when you have Auto Dimension turned on but not Auto Save Dimensions. In this mode, the Auto Dimension is generated each time you measure a feature. The software deletes the dimension when you create the next feature, unless you specifically say to keep the last dimension. The main reason for this is to see the dimension in the Edit window without having it automatically inserted into the measurement routine as a command.
ID_CANCEL - This function is mapped to the Cancel button.
DCC_MEASURE - This function is the same as pressing Ctrl + E to measure the last feature.
UTIL_DELETE - This function performs a Delete Last Feature command.
WARNING: The UTIL_DELETE function can be dangerous on a jog box button.
MAN/DCC - This function toggles between Manual and DCC mode commands in the Edit window.
Release Probe with Trigger - This function prompts you before it performs the command.
This should not be used with an analog probe! If this is used with an analog probe, the probe will drop before the dialog box appears. For analog probes, you should only use #13!
Attach Probe - This function prompts you before it performs the command.
Release Probe with OK - This function prompts you before it performs the command.
Soft Reset of Controller
FOR MC-850 - This function performs a Release Probe with Trigger command. This function prompts you before it performs the command.
FOR MC-850 - This function performs an Attach Probe command. This function prompts you before it performs the command.
When prompted to attach or release a probe (Attach Probe, Release Probe with OK, FOR MC-850, and FOR MC-850), you must use the button on the jog box assigned to the End key for the OK button on the dialog box.
Go to Manual mode - You can use this command if PC-DMIS does not return to manual mode after an error. This does not work on all systems.
Manual Scan Mode ON - On a Vast system, this command allows you to do a manual Centering Scan.
Manual Scan Mode OFF - On a Vast system, this command returns you to the regular probing mode.
Manual Scan Mode ON and Manual Scan Mode OFF must be assigned to jog box buttons on Vast systems with a probe changer. This is because these modes use during the Probe Change calibration.
The following button combinations communicate directly with the controller and are preferable over the assigned keys.
Picking Up the Probe
Enter (BELOW) + Shift (ABOVE) + F1
Releasing the Probe
Enter (BELOW) + Shift (ABOVE) + F2
The universal 3D probe head releases the probe immediately!
Correcting the Probe Position
Enter (BELOW) + Shift (ABOVE) + F3
The probe of the universal 3D probe head may drop down!

JogBoxKey15
JogBoxKey15 = 3 - This sets JogBoxKey15 to the functionality of JogBoxKey3 (Insert MovePoint).
Jog Box Keys on Large Jog Boxes
The jog box keys on the large full alpha jog boxes are set up in the following fashion:

The button on top of the XY jog box is 21.
To make it easier, the key pressed and its current setting appear in the message area in the lower left-hand corner of the screen.
