PC-DMIS NC (Numerical Control) is a specialized configuration of the PC-DMIS software that allows you to use NC machine tools to perform part measurements. These machine tools are also referred to as CNC (Computer Numerical Control) machines. You can create PC-DMIS NC measurement routines in Offline mode and use them to generate an NC measurement routine.
To use NC tools to measure a part, you first need to fit your NC machine with a probing device and macros. You can then execute the generated measurement routine and return any point measurements through a communications interface to the NC Server application that is running on a computer. The NC Server application activates PC-DMIS NC and tells it to execute a PC-DMIS measurement routine using the supplied data. You can use PC-DMIS reporting and statistics options for the measurement routine.
For information on the NC Server operation, please consult the NC Server PDF manual provided with your NC Server application. You can download NC Server from the Universal Updater application.
