Provides the maximum angle allowed between the part surface and the laser probe. It is used to decide when a different tip angle is needed for scanning. In a scan, it’s best that the machine motion is such that the stripe on the part is perpendicular to the machine motion. If it is greater than this value, a new tip angle is selected.
