ComputeNominalsIfLessThanMaximumSize

This registry entry determines when PC-DMIS computes nominals in a pointcloud (COP). If a COP has more points than the specified value, then PC-DMIS does not compute the nominals. This speeds up processing when measurement routines use a CAD model. If nominals are computed, then every point in the COP command is projected onto the CAD in order to get the nominal XYZ and IJK values. These projections can take a very long time if the COP and/or CAD are large. It may also result in memory-related application errors.

For example, if you set this to 2000, any COP containing 2000 or more points will not have nominals computed. You can set this value to 0 (zero) if don't want to compute any nominals at all.

Entry Name: ComputeNominalsIfLessThanMaximumSize
