This registry entry specifies how closely PC-DMIS matches the requested font's height, width, character orientation, escapement, pitch, and font type in the history section of the Probe Readouts window.

Entry Type: Whole number that specifies the font characteristic. The default value is 0.

4 | This option tells the system's font mapper to use only a TrueType font. This is necessary when the system has different fonts that have the same name. |
5 | This option forces the system's font mapper to choose a device font. This is necessary when the system has different fonts that have the same name. |
6 | This option forces the system's font mapper to choose a raster font. This is necessary when the system has different fonts that have the same name. |
7 | This option tells the system's font mapper to select only a TrueType font. If the system cannot find a TrueType font, the system font mapper uses the default font. |
8 | This option tells the system's font mapper to select outline-based fonts, such as TrueType fonts. |
9 | This option defines a specific preference for outline fonts, such as the TrueType font style. |
10 | This option tells the system's font mapper to select only PostScript fonts. The system returns the default font type if it cannot find a PostScript font. |
