This is the administrator section of the PC-DMIS Settings Editor that allows you to set parameters to communicate with the probe controller for HP-THD probes. This type of probe controller requires configuration commands to be sent to it via a communication port. On some CMMs, you might connect the probe controller directly to the machine controller and the machine controller sends the necessary commands. On other machines, you might connect the HP-THD probe controller to a communication port on the PC. PC-DMIS may then need to send the configuration commands directly to the probe controller via that port.
