TransparencyLayers

When the HighQualityTransparency registry entry is enabled, this option specifies the maximum number of transparent layers that will be rendered.

There can be several transparent surfaces stacked together, but only the top-most TransparencyLayers will be rendered. The rest of the transparent surfaces will not be visible beneath them. Higher number of transparent layers will result in more graphics memory being used and slower rendering. There is no user interface control for this option as the default value should be sufficient in most cases.

Entry Name: TransparencyLayers

Entry Type: The default number of transparent layers is 4. The minimum number of layers is 1. The maximum number of layers is 20, but it depends on the amount of available graphics memory. In general, a value of 4 to render four transparent layers should be plenty.

If a value less than 1 is entered, the value will reset to 1. If a value greater than 20 is entered, the value will reset to 20.

You will need to restart PC-DMIS / Planner whenever you change this value.
