The value for this registry entry specifies which simplified Temperature Compensation Setup dialog box opens in PC-DMIS when you select Edit | Preferences | Temperature Compensation.
Entry Name: UseTemperatureCompensationV2
Entry Type: Whole number that specifies TRUE (1) or FALSE (0). The default value is 0.
1 (TRUE) - The simplified Temperature Compensation Setup dialog box opens. The type of dialog box that appears depends on whether you connect your machine to a Hexagon controller or a non-Hexagon controller.
When this registry entry is set to 1 (TRUE), you can change the temperature sensors from the I++ registry settings when running from an I++ DMS Client interface.
For details, see the "Miscellaneous" topic in the "I++ DME Client" section of the MIIM help.
0 (FALSE) - The Temperature Compensation Setup dialog box appears.
If you use a controller with the Sheffield interface, you must set this registry entry to 0 (FALSE). If you set this registry entry to 1 (TRUE), it may affect your measurement routine's move points in unexpected ways.
