Creating Alignments

Alignments are essential to setting the coordinate origin and defining the X, Y, and Z axes. If you've been through the tutorial in the "Getting Started" chapter, you have already created a simple 3-2-1 alignment.

PC-DMIS provides a handy 321Alignment button () on the Wizards toolbar.

You can also use additional alignment options such as Iterative alignments and Best Fit alignments according to your needs. See the "Creating and Using Alignments" chapter in the PC-DMIS Core documentation for in-depth information on working with alignments.
