You only need to do this step if any of your cylinder features (CYL1, CYL2, CYL3, or CYL4) give collision results when you test them in the "Test for Collisions" step.
This step in the tutorial adjusts the Depth and Ending Offset values for the cylinder features (CYL1, CYL2, CYL3, CYL4). With this part and a probe of 2 mm, these features may end up colliding with material near the bottom or end of the cylinders.
From the Edit window, click on CYL1 and press F9 to open the Auto Feature dialog box for that feature. The green lines show the path the probe takes to measure the different hits in the feature.
Click Show Advancement Measurement Options ().
From the bottom half of the dialog box, click the Contact Properties tab ().
Change the Depth to 3.
Change the Ending Offset to 1.
Click OK.
For CYL2, repeat the above steps and change those same values.
For CYL3 and CYL4, the changes are different. This is because these cylinders are on the side of the part. So, for those cylinders, set the Ending Offset to 3 and the Depth to 1.
Once you are done, do the "Test for Collisions" step again to ensure there are no more collisions.
Go to the next step: "Set the Report Output and Type"
