(This item pertains to the check boxes on the General tab of the Setup Options dialog box. You can open it through the F5 key or through the Edit | Preferences | Setup menu option.)
When measured or constructed plane features are added, PC-DMIS has the option of displaying a shaded plane as either an outline of the hits comprising the plane or as a triangle. You can mark this check box to hide the drawn shaded plane at creation so that it doesn't clutter up the Graphic Display window. This only hides the drawn plane; the actual plane feature is still created. This setting corresponds with the DoNotDisplayPlane entry in the Option section of the PC-DMIS Settings Editor.
