The Edit | Copy menu option also allows you to copy and move commands (or text) from one area to another using the clipboard. The only difference between this option and the Cut option is that the commands are not removed from the Edit window when it is copied.
To copy and paste commands:
Highlight the desired commands.
Select the Copy command. The text remains in its current location but is stored in the Clipboard as well.
Select the Paste command to restore the cut text. (See "Paste".)
When you select the Copy command, the Clipboard contents are replaced with the copied selection.
