The PC-DMIS Help Center contains several different Help files.
To access a Help file:
Expand the "Available Help Files" entry in the Table of Contents tab () in the navigation pane to the left.
Then click on a Help file under that, or you can click on an entry from the "Available Help Files" list below.
PC-DMIS Core Help File - This Help covers the bulk of PC-DMIS functionality, and it contains the main documentation content for PC-DMIS. If you can't find something in the other Help files, look here.
PC-DMIS CMM - This Help covers using PC-DMIS for a CMM.
PC-DMIS Laser - This Help covers using PC-DMIS with laser scanning devices.
PC-DMIS Portable - This Help covers how to use PC-DMIS with various portable devices, including arms, trackers, and Total Station devices.
PC-DMIS Vision - This Help covers how to use PC-DMIS with optical and camera measurement devices.
Client License Manager Software - This Help covers how to use the CLM licensing software to license PC-DMIS.
Direct CAD Interfaces and Translators - This Help covers how to directly interface PC-DMIS with different CAD packages. It also discusses translating (or importing) CAD files into PC-DMIS.
Q-DAS Configurator - This Help covers the Q-DAS Configurator window in PC-DMIS. Programmers can use this window to create, edit, or update Q-DAS data files for measurement routines.
PC-DMIS Toolkit Modules - See the items below for what the Toolkit Modules cover:
The following main topics describe how to create the specified toolkit commands:
Check Calibration Limits - This section describes how to create a Check Calibration Limits command to check for probe calibration errors and raise alerts during the execution of a measurement routine.
Use Parameter Set - This section covers how to create a Use Parameter Set command to change the parameter set for the probe used with the active Leitz controller.
Advanced Temperature Compensation - This section covers how to create an Advanced Temperature Compensation command to use the continuous part temperature compensation ability of the Hexagon FDC and B3C controllers.
Move Feature - This section covers how to create a Move Feature command, which is available when you use a Leica Tracker or Leica Total Station device. This command points the total station at a specified feature or at a hit or hits within a feature.
Weight Compensation - This section covers how to create a Weight Compensation command to enable and disable "weight compensation", which is a compensation feature that accounts for the effect of a workpiece's weight on the granite table of bridge CMMs.
Freeform Plane - This section has been replaced by the Adaptive Free Form Plane Scan strategy. The Freeform Plane section of the help is provided for backward compatibility.
Audi - This section of the Help covers how to create an Audi command to generate and test features for the measuring principles that are supported by the Analysis Application (Messtechnik-Applikation, or MTA).
Blade - This section of the Help describes how to create commands in the Blade Scan, Blade Report, Blade Nominals Editor, and Blade Section modules. (More)
ESF - This section of the Help describes how to create an ESF command to generate and test features for the measuring principles that are supported by the Analysis Application (Messtechnik-Applikation, or MTA). These measuring principles are a subset of the available measuring principles.
Flexible Fixturing for PC-DMIS - This Help covers how to use fixtures with PC-DMIS to attach parts to the CMM table in PC-DMIS.
PC-DMIS NC (Numeric Control) - This Help covers how to use PC-DMIS with CNC machines.
PC-DMIS UJB - This Help covers information on how to use the Universal Jog Box with PC-DMIS.
PC-DMIS Basic Language - This Help covers using the BASIC language with the different Automation Objects to automate PC-DMIS.
Automation Objects - This Help covers information about automating aspects of PC-DMIS using Automation commands.
PC-DMIS Settings Editor - This Help covers the entries that PC-DMIS uses and discusses how to use the PC-DMIS Settings Editor utility to modify those entries.
Machine Interface Installation Manual - This Help covers how to set up interfaces for different measurement machines. This is mainly intended for service engineers who need to configure or set up a machine for a customer.
