The value for this entry specifies the default for how PC-DMIS will use machine speeds when you create a new measurement routine: as an absolute value or as a percentage of the machine's maximum speed.
Entry Name: AbsoluteSpeeds
Entry Type: Whole number that specifies how PC-DMIS will use machine speeds. The values are:
1 (TRUE) - PC-DMIS will use the speeds as an absolute value (typically mm/sec).
0 (FALSE) - PC-DMIS will use the speeds as a percentage of the maximum speed of the machine.
The setting for the Display absolute speeds check box on the Part/Machine tab in the Setup Options dialog box specifies the speed as an absolute value or as a percentage of the maximum speed of the machine. After you have created a measurement routine, you can change the setting at any time. (To change the setting, press F5, or select Edit | Preferences | Setup.) Each measurement routine has its own independent setting.
If you change the setting for the Display absolute speeds check box, PC-DMIS will update the value for the current measurement routine. It will also update the AbsoluteSpeeds entry to match. This value will be the default for the next measurement routine that you create.
If you change this entry's value through the Settings Editor application, the settings for existing measurement routines do not change.
