This entry defines the default value for the Set Nom Axis option that is used when an Auto Feature is created. When this entry is set to 1 (TRUE), PC-DMIS update (or "sets") the nominal point location and the nominal approach direction before each execution. Also, with this option ON, the CAD surfaces are pierced along that axis. Otherwise, the update vector is used.
The axis (or vector) selected tells PC-DMIS along which axis (or vector) the CAD surface is pierced to find a new theoretical and target.
