This value specifies the default Initial Hits value that PC-DMIS uses in the creation of Surface Points. The software uses the Initial hits value to measure the plane around the nominal point location for the Surface Point feature. The software takes the Initial sample hits only on the initial measurement of the feature during the execution of the measurement routine.
