If this entry is set to TRUE, Legacy mode becomes slightly smarter than Default mode. When you select "RMEAS Legacy" in the measurement routine, PC-DMIS determines which RMEAS algorithm to apply from the Reference Feature Type.
PC-DMIS applies the default algorithm when:
There is a Single Relative Feature (SRF) specified
The SRF is of type Plane, Vector Point, Surface Point or High Point
No nested Relative Features are specified in SRF
PC-DMIS applies the Legacy algorithm in all the other cases.
You must remember to set the value to FALSE if you want to apply the Legacy math in all circumstances as described above. Also, if you are using a dual arm machine, remember to set this entry in the USER_AutoFeatures_CMM2 section to the same value.
