The Blade Scan command is designed to suggest the scan speed and point density based on the chord length of the blade section. When you import a nominal file, the Blade Scan command refers to a Blade Scan Lookup Table (BladeScan.LookupTable.xml) and inserts the scan speed and point density listed in the table. Advanced users can edit this table to do the following:
Change the default values that the Blade Scan command uses.
Create more levels to define the minimum and maximum chord lengths, and associate parameters with them.
The following rules apply to the Lookup Table:
The values in the Lookup Table for the radius can be in metric or inches. The default Lookup Table always has the radius value in metric. If you choose to enter values in inches, then make sure that the <Unit>INCH</Unit> parameter is correctly defined.
The values for the point density are always in points/mm.
The scan speed is always defined as mm/sec.
The Lookup Table can be in inches or metric. PC-DMIS converts the radius value correctly in the unit of the measurement routine.
If you want to create another level of the chord length to identify different parameters, make sure that all levels are continuous and do not overlap.
To modify the Lookup Table:
Navigate to this folder: C:\Users\Public\Documents\Hexagon\PC-DMIS\<Version Number>\BLADE
Open the BladeScan.LookupTable.xml file.
Modify the desired values.
