Defining NO DATA Areas

You can have forms that contain cells in rows or columns where you don't want any data. For example, you might want to fill the cells with data from some other measuring instrument. In that case, you need to define the cells as a NO DATA area.

To define a NO DATA area, follow these steps:

  1. Ensure you already have defined the data area.

  2. Select cells from one or more rows or columns, right-click, and select Set as a NO DATA area. PC-DMIS highlights the NO DATA area with a gray background. The length of the NO DATA area is always equal to that of the data area.

You can define multiple NO DATA areas in a template.

During execution of a measurement routine, PC-DMIS doesn't insert the data in those NO DATA area cells.
