CWS.ini

Both the SLC and VisionBox interfaces use the CWS.ini file. For information, on how to install this file, see the "CWS.INI Installation Instructions" topic.

This topic is for the FDC-VisionBox Interface.

Default Value

Type of Value

Description

COM

DEBUG

0

Integer

This value determines if enable debugging is on or off:

0 (zero) = Off

1 = On

COM

Connected

0

integer

This value determines if the application connects to the device or not:

0 (zero) = No

1 - Yes

COM

Port

7

integer

This value sets the serial port number for CWS.

COM

Baudrate

115200

integer

This is the connection speed value.

All USB connections (for example, CHRocodile) require you to set this to 921600.

The maximum speed for RS232 connections is 115200.

GRAPHIC

Zero

50.0

Double

This value is the offset position [%] in the measurement range.

CONFIG

SensorHeadNo

0

Integer

This value is the sensor head number to use at startup.

CONFIG

ForceSensorHeadNo

0

Integer

This value determines if you can set the sensor head from within the application or if the application only uses the value set in the SensorHeadNo settings entry key:

0 = This value allows you to set the sensor head from the application (for example, with TKJ-OMM).

1 = This value forces the application to always uses the sensor head number defined by the SensorHeadNo in the CWS.ini file. The application cannot set the sensor head number.

CONFIG

CHECKSINGLEVALUES

1

integer

This value determines if the validation of single point measurement raw result is on or off:

Validation Off = 0

Validation On = 1

Starting with PC-DMIS 2020 R1 SP11, this setting is no longer supported and validation is always on.

For all other versions, it is highly recommended that you set this to 1.

Debug

FileTrace.System.Commands

0

integer

This value sets the log CWS system commands in HMV debug files on or off:

Off = 0

On = 1

In the case of the CHRocodile 2SHS, the COM settings for Port, Baudrate, Parity, Databits, Stopbits, and Handshake are not relevant since this controller requires an Ethernet connection (IP = 192.168.170.2, port = 7891).
