When you scan with the Vast head, the system only sends the Offset Force parameter to the controller. The system uses the Low Force parameter to filter out scan points that have insufficient force. The system ignores all other Force-related parameters.
Other limitations with this controller are:
Does not support the "Cone" Boundary condition.
Does not support Boundary Crossings.
Does not support Rotary Scans. In PC-DMIS, if you use CAD and set the Execute type to "Defined", you can use Rotary Scans.
It is preferable that when you perform a site survey, you create a line capture of the operations performed on the native software (listed below). You can use the line capture to address any incompatibilities that may occur during the installation. If a problem does arise, forward the line capture files along with the machine information and debug files.
The line captures should consist of:
Initialization from a cold boot of controller, including homing
Initialization of UMESS without cold boot of controller
Manual hits
DCC move
DCC hit
Probe Rotation (If not using PHC9 Direct)
Probe change with probe changer
Manual probe changer with jog box (if customer uses this)
Rotary table rotation
You can perform IP–Based line captures with EtherDetect at http://www.etherdetect.com/, or Ethereal at http://www.ethereal.com/.
The Ethereal project was replaced with Wireshark at https://www.wireshark.org.
