The License Model has two concepts that result in four types of Licenses. The two concepts are:
Locking
License Lifetime
Locking - This concept is related to computers on a network. You have two options:
Node-locked - This type of license is installed and tied to a single computer. The license cannot be shared between multiple users working on different computers.
Floating - This type of license can be shared between multiple users working on different computers within the same network. This requires configuration and installation of the license server. The client system configuration is required to access the license server.
License Lifetime - This concept defines the type of license validation:
Perpetual - The license provides permanent validity on the targeted computer.
Evaluation - The license has an expiry date.
You have a choice between four types of licenses:
Node-Locked Perpetual
Node-Locked Evaluation
Floating Perpetual
Floating Evaluation
