You must transfer the Return Response file back to the target computer and process the file within the CLM Administration tools in order to return the license.
For a node-locked license, use the CLM Administrator (clmadmin.exe).
For a floating license, use the CLM Administrator Server (clmadminsvr.exe).
Step 1: Select the Response file in the CLM Administrator
The Response file must be selected in the CLM Administrator.
Open the CLM Administrator. Select Offline license transfer from the main area or from the menu on the left.
Select Return licenses from the main area.
Browse for the response file (*.clmresp) stored on your portable storage device.
Step 2: Process the Response File
To return the license, you must process the Response file. To do this, click on the Process Response link located in the lower-right area to return the license.
The license is now returned. You can transfer (re-host) it from one computer to another.
