Importing Pointcloud files

To import a Pointcloud file, perform the following steps:

1. Select File | Import | Pointcloud to open the Import Pointcloud Data dialog box.

2. Choose the appropriate Pointcloud type from the Files of Type list at the bottom of the dialog box. PC-DMIS lists files ending with extensions according to what you selected.

• If you select the XYZ Files option, PC-DMIS lists files with a .xyz extension.

• If you select the PSL Files option, PC-DMIS lists files with a .psl (Polyworks) extension.

• If you select the STL Files option, PC-DMIS lists files with a .stl extension.

• If you select the NSD Files option, PC-DMIS lists files with a .nsd (3DReshaper) extension.

3. Mark the Append check box if you want to add the new COP data onto existing COP data.

4. Navigate to the appropriate directory and select the desired pointcloud file from the list.

5. Click Import to load the Pointcloud file into your measurement routine.
