Paste With Pattern

The Edit | Paste With Pattern menu item pastes a feature or group of features from the Clipboard into the Edit window using the offsets and other parameters defined in the Pattern Setup dialog box.

You don't need to select this menu item if you marked the mark the Apply "Paste With Pattern" on OK check box on the Alignment or Curve tabs of the Pattern Setup dialog box.

PC-DMIS creates these new features based on those that were copied to the Clipboard.

PC-DMIS draws the new features in the Graphic Display window.

For Non-Curve Patterns

PC-DMIS applies features with the pattern offsets defined in the Alignment tab of the Pattern Setup dialog box.

PC-DMIS pastes the contents of the Clipboard into the Edit window by the number of times shown in the Number of times to offset box in the Alignment tab of the Part Setup dialog box.

Each time PC-DMIS pastes the Clipboard's contents, the new features are offset with respect to the previously inserted features by the defined pattern offsets.

PC-DMIS generates feature IDs based on how the Use default prefix check box in the Pattern Setup dialog box is set.

For Curve Patterns

PC-DMIS pastes the contents of the Clipboard into the Edit window equally spaced by the Step value among all the selected edges.
