  1. The entry in the Active probe file list defaults to the current measurement routine setting. If this is not what is to be used for the rack calibration, select the proper probe.

  2. The entry in the Active tip list defaults to the current measurement routine setting. If this is not what is to be used for the rack calibration, select the tip ID to be used for calibration. This is usually T1A0B0.

  3. Click Calibrate. The following message box appears:

PC-DMIS

The change rack has been previously calibrated.
If it has been moved since the last calibration
you must take manual hits to locate it.
If it hasn't been moved you may be able to recalibrate
it in DCC mode without taking manual hits.

Has the change rack been moved since the last calibration?

  1. If you are calibrating the probe changer for the first time after installation, or if you want to move the probe changer to a new location, click Yes. If you have removed and mounted the probe changer at the same location, click No. If you click Yes, PC-DMIS prompts you to take manual hits. If you click No, the probe changer calibration starts in DCC mode.

  2. If you click Yes, the following message appears:

PC-DMIS Message

If your changer has lids, open the lids on all ports.
Remove any probes from the ports.

  1. Open all lids. To open the lid or lids, push them all the way back.

  2. With the lid or lids open, remove all of the modules or styli by sliding them forward and out of the ports.

  3. Empty the ports of all probes.

  4. When you are ready to take the first measurement, click OK.

In the next step, you take the manual hits.
