Recalibrating All Ports in DCC Mode

If you have removed and mounted the probe changer at the same location, you will be able to recalibrate in DCC mode.

To recalibrate all ports in DCC mode, follow these steps:

  1. Select the Full calibration option on the Calibrate tab in the Probe Changer dialog box (Edit | Preferences | Probe Changer). (If you did not complete a full calibration, the option is not available.)

  1. To begin the calibration, click Calibrate. A message prompts you if the change rack has been moved since the last calibration:

PC-DMIS

The change rack has been previously calibrated.
If it has been moved since the last calibration
you must take manual hits to locate it.
If it hasn't been moved you may be able to recalibrate
it in DCC mode without taking manual hits.

Has the change rack been moved since the last calibration?

  1. Click No. The following message appears:

Remove any stylus holders from the ports

After clicking OK, DCC motion will begin
for the rest of the measurement.

  2. With the lid or lids open, remove the requested modules or styli by sliding them forward and out of the stylus holder.

  3. Click OK. The system goes into DCC mode and measures a series of hits required to accurately locate and orient the rack.
