This box contains the diameter of the tip.
The diameter for probes on non-portable machines may vary with the current part temperature if you mark the Temperature compensation enabled check box inside of the Temperature Compensation dialog box and choose a compensation method where PC-DMIS does the part compensation rather than the machine controller. The Temperature Compensation dialog box is accessible by pressing F9 on a TEMPCOMP command. See "Temperature Compensation Enabled" under "Compensating for Temperature" in the "Setting Your Preferences" chapter.
