The Wait check box in the External Command dialog box (Insert | External Command) is only available when the Display check box is not selected.
When the Wait check box is selected, the execution of the measurement routine is paused until the external command finishes its operation.
When the Wait check box is not selected, the measurement routine continues execution even if the external command hasn't finished its operation.
