It is sometimes necessary to set the probe at some specific location in space. To do this:
Click on the X, Y, Z portion of the Status bar while in Program mode (or select the Operation | Move To option described in the "Inserting Move Commands" chapter) to open the Auto Move Point dialog box. The default setting indicates the probe's current location.
Change the X, Y, Z to the desired values. If you mark the Store Move check box, you can add the MOVE POINT command to the routine. You can also select the Increment moves check box and the OK to Move check box.
Once the new X, Y, or Z values are entered, click on Done and PC-DMIS moves the animated probe to the new position.
