Before you can define your Flexible Fixturing system, you need to connect to the fixture server. If you only have one arm, you are most likely connecting to your local server. For a system setup with more than one arm, you need to provide connection information to the machine that runs the fixture server.
Click the Settings | Connection menu option to open the Properties dialog box with the Fixture Server Settings tab.

The settings to establish a connection to the Fixture Server include:
Remote Computer - Type the TCP/IP address for the fixture server. If you are connecting to your local computer, type localhost, and mark Connect as local server.
User - Type a valid user name. This user must have administrator privileges on the computer you specified in the Remote Computer box.
Password - Type the password to login to the address specified in the Remote Computer box.
Domain - Specify the domain in which the computer resides, if needed.
Connect as local server - If you choose, you can also connect to the fixture server on a local host (same computer).
