To Create a Custom CAD Model

1. Create a new measurement routine.

2. Import the model through one of the standard PC-DMIS import options (such as IGES or STEP).

3. Save the measurement routine. PC-DMIS creates a .CAD file with the same name as the measurement routine and in the same directory as the measurement routine's file.

4. Rename this file to any name.

5. Place this file in a directory of your choice to be used later.
