This procedure determines whether a column can be set at the selected fixture point. This procedure checks the location of that point, ensures that a column placed there fits within the defined machine volume, and ensures that no collisions occur with the part or with other fixtures.
Select the Insert | Hardware Definition | Fixture menu option to open the Create/Modify Fixture dialog box.
Select the Fixture Points tab.
Select the fixture from the Available Fixtures list.
Select a fixture point from the list.
Click the Verify button. PC-DMIS displays a message box that states the result of the verification.
PC-DMIS also automatically verifies the fixture definition whenever you click Apply or OK.
