Common Driver Installation and Setup

You must obtain the common driver software for the LK Common Driver DLL interface directly from LK. You must install and configure it before you attempt to install and use the PC-DMIS interface that uses it. LK provides installation and setup instructions.

This topic assumes that the common driver is installed and configured. It focuses on the setup issues that are specific to the PC-DMIS interface.

The name of the common driver DLL is similar to LKCMMDRV53.dll. The name depends on the version number of the driver. There are also various other DLLs that LK provides with the driver that must be present for the driver to work properly. The earliest version that you can use with the PC-DMIS interface is LKCMM21.dll. Earlier versions are incompatible.

If you are running the 5.3 version of the common driver, then you need to run a program from LK to "link" PC-DMIS to the driver. The program is called SetCmmPath.exe.
