1. Start the Pantec Support Tool Wizard.

2. From the menu, select General/Options | Enable Move and Point Fast Buffers and switch to Off.

Change the DCC Retract Use 264 setting to True.

In the COM Port settings (Control Panel | Computer Management), find the "Renishaw PHC10-3 Probe Head Controller" and set the latency timer to 1. You may also need to set the "Receive and Transmit" buffers to the lowest setting of 64.

You can find these drivers on the install CD or USB drive.

On some Wenzel (Pantec) controllers, the start-up procedure is:

1. Power up the controller.

2. Wait for the four red lights to start flashing.

3. Press the Power button on the jog box.

4. Start up PC-DMIS and home the machine.

Consider on of these cable options:

• 10’ 9-pin Null modem cable, F to F, for RS232-J, F1 keys

• 10’ 9-pin serial cable, F to F for controller com to the RS232 plug

Set these entries to the designated values:

HomeAccelFast = 50

HomeAccelSlow = 10

HomeSpeedFast = 25

HomeSpeedSlow = 5

SlowHomeMove = True

If the machine still moves too fast, adjust the numeric values down until the home move reaches the limit and then returns to find the home switch.
